“We may not be able to solve the reasons behind why each family needs us but we can help relieve some of their stress and help give their children a Christmas.”
About Holiday Helping Hands… (click to read more)
Holiday Helping Hands is a charity gift program for families in-need that live within the Enumclaw School District boundaries. It has been an active, holiday toy & food drive in Enumclaw since the 1970’s, formerly ran by the Retired Teachers’s Union. It was known as “Enumclaw Toys for Tots and Teens” until 2020 when we officially renamed it Holiday Helping Hands. The program has changed a bit and grown but the heart of it has been carried on through the years.
Each Christmas season, we start collecting new toys, gift cards and holiday food donations from the community. We team up with local businesses, along with the fire & police departments, as collection sites. There are Toy & Food Drive events scheduled and hosted by local clubs, teams and some businesses. (See ”EVENTS” for more info.)
Enumclaw Fire and Fugate Ford host Enumclaw’s infamous Santa Run, where Santa and the fire trucks tour Enumclaw, spreading Christmas cheer and accepting toy & food donations. (This year’s Santa Run is December TBD. Please follow Enumclaw Fire Department on Facebook for the up-to-date info on the event!)
Families who are in-need and have their student(s) enrolled in the Enumclaw School District’s “free or reduced lunch program” will automatically receive a letter in the mail just after Thanksgiving, inviting them to sign-up through our website’s online registration.
If you know someone that would benefit from our program and they reside within the Enumclaw School District’s boundaries, please connect them to our website and the online registration or our contact info.

The “Giving Day” event (December 17th 2022) at the Enumclaw Expo Center invites pre-registered families to come pick-up their gifts. Each child in the family (ages 0-18 years) will receive a gift, a book or craft and 2 stocking stuffers. Gifts are chosen by Holiday Helping Hands volunteers from the information that families give when they register. Families are offered a Christmas meal to take home and a $25 gift card to a local grocery store along with local (assistance) resources such as Plateau Outreach Ministries, the Enumclaw Food Bank and Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation.
Families can sign-up online November 28th-December 14th.
